hiya all,

i have a 2002 leon 1.8 20v t cupra and i have noticed a problem it is fine to start with but after an hour or so the boost seems to have dissapeared completely although there is still some noise from the dv

but if i turn off the ignition and re-start the car it seems to cure it for a while at least

i am new to all this so any help would be really apreciated

right then next silly question, im in milton keynes any ideas where to get that done

Same problem im having too:shrug:

iv tried running it with the maf unplugged but still did it,im thinking it may be the n75 valve~?

my scanner shows 17705 pressure loss but i carnt find any leaks at all.

yep iv looked at the pancake poipe all seems ok only thing i can see that may be an issue with it is that its slightley shoved out the way by the tip.

dont know if anyone else has this issue but the guy at my local vag place said it should be really sat upright but the tip is shoving it forward if that makes sense?

could this be the isssue?

thanks.:)

would having an atmospheric dumpvalve cause a problem i think the previous owner put one on that isnt a re-circulating dv

was just wondering if it could cause a problem cos when im driving in 5th and accelerate fairly gently i can hear what i can only describe and a constant hiss from the dv

it was the dumpvalve that was causing the problem i took it apart and the lower spring was broken so the valve was not closing properly and losing pressure hence limp mode
