Thinking of getting rid of my mk2 for a mk3, been to have a look at one today - with technology pack fitted.

I see that the media connections are in the glove box (bit strange but hey ho). How do you connect an iphone with lightening?? The sales guy seemed to suggest that you get a set of leads with the car - is this generally connect?? is there a lightening lead or is it 30 pin??

Alternatively what's it like connected over bluetooth?? I presume it "works" but you need to do most of the controls from the phone?

I got 30 pin and a USB connector cables I understand latter connects directly to lighting cable to give full functionality of latest I phone or pod.

As the guys have said you get usb and 30 pin apple connectors. The lighting

equipped iphone/ipod capability is limited by either the usb cable or bluetooth. I argued the toss with SEAT that they should buy me a 30 pin / lightning adaptor as the car was launched after every ios device had changed and won.

So I already have a 30 pin - lightening connector for my current car. So if I can still use that it's not teh end of the world. Was hoping that there would be a proper lightning lead by now though!

My iphone only charges when I plug it with the 30 pin connector and the lightning addapter. No music nor phone control.

What I do is transfer the music via bluetooth.

Is it a genuine adaptor? Mine does everything.

Now that you mention...it's a chinese copy, hum...I really didn't want to spend that much on a little piece of plastic hehe.

quick question....can you see your spotify playlists on the radio when using that? or it just work with the native iPod app

Thanks!

The £5-6 chinese ones only charge on any output. I don't use spotify in the car as I have an ipod but I will try my ipad on it when I get home later in the week.
