I currently have the standard tape player and Cd Changer in my LCR. Ive heard I can take my CD changer out and use something to connect an Ipod/MP3, anyone done this or know what I need

Cheers

Easier to just replace the head unit. You will need the face plate that fills the gaps either side of the new head unit as the replacement unit isn't as wide, the aerial booster and probably to swap the red and yellow power wires over. (loads of posts about this)

I got a jvc 811 for about £120, it's not the greatest design and quite annoying to use, but it does the IPOD, MP3 players, hands free bluetooth, takes usb memory and the illumination on the screen and buttons can be changed to nearly any colour to match the dash.

There are loads of interfaces on fleabay. Just do a search for 'leon mp3'

They even have one that converts the cd changer port to allow USB sticks

Search the internet for one of these: Connects2 CTASTIPOD003.2

It connects to the cd changer port on the back of the radio. Lets you play your ipod and charges it at the same time

I've got one for sale, brand new and boxed. £40 plus p&p if you're interested
