Irregular engine idle

Hello all,
I have noticed that when my altea 1.9 stylance is in a traffic jam or stationary for any length of time, the engine idle sound can be irregular, the engine note sounds correct but inside the car you can feel it through the seat.I asked the dealer to fix it twice, but each time there has been no improvement.They have also updated the ecu software, which they said would sort it
I was wondering if this was normal,or if any one has experienced this aswell.

How does the car drive in general? Still OK? Just wondering if there is a minor air leak or something like that? Possibly MAF sensor... could be a few little things at a quick guess

In general the car drives well.It only seems to be a problem when the engine temp is at 90 and the problem is worse when the car is on an incline,although it does happen on the flat, but to a lesser degree.Strange eh...

Mine seems to idle slightly rough when hot, and stopped in traffic. Its as if the idle level is set just too low. If i raise the idle using the peddle fractionally, it seems ok.

Yes, my thoughts exactly, and I have been doing the same thing,pressing down lightly on the accelerator.Have you tried to get this fixed by the dealer?

Not yet no, but it's possibly going in next week for a few things, I'll mention it and see what they come up with.

I am interested to know what was the outcome of the engine idle problem, did it go in to be checked?

Hi guys, been in a few times lately, but not had that checked yet as there's a fault with the flywheel, causing Juddering when cold. It's in on Tuesday, so will mention it if I remember, and if they got the parts this time. I really hope I get another Leon FR TDI as a loan car AGAIN!!

Exactly same fault as my Altea 2.0 tdi sport, well thats when I owned it. Moved on to a Honda now in the Hope of better relyability.

Well the dealer's let me down again!! How can a clutch/fly wheel be on backorder for over 3 weeks???
