Ok i'm about to have a rant so be prepared. I ordered a full set of bumpstrips from the SEAT garage nearest me. It stated on their website that if you order a part before 3pm, it will be ready for pick up in the garage the following morning. I ordered my bumpstrips on a Tuesday at around 1pm, therefore they should be there for me on Wednesday morning.
Friday morning I drove down especially to collect them as the dealer told me on the phone that they would deifnetly be there by Friday. The drive is about 40 miles each way so costs a lot in petrol. The bumpstrips were not there and he told me that they would be there the next day - Saturday. I didnt get time to drive to the garage AGAIN until Monday. I rang in advance to make sure that the bumpstrips were there and he said they were.
I reach the garage (another 80 mile trip) and get the bumpstrips. Straight away I see the problem. One of the bumpstrips is off a 3 door and is half the length it should be. I had already paid the man so I asked for a receipt and he ordered the part again while I was there. He says give it 3 days and it will definetly be here.
I allowed 10 days for them to arrive and my girlfriend went out of her way to collect it for me. Dealer tells her it's not here and will be here tomorrow. Obviously i'm annoyed when I hear this because my girlfriend could be late for work because of the detour.
I ring the garage and explain who I am and say I'm dissapointed with the service. He starts complaining to me that he has lost his profit from the sale because of this and he now has a bumpstrip in stock that he doesn't want. I tell him I just want the part and I expected better service since this is the dealer my family bought the car from new. He says he will send me back my fiver and we will forget about the part and he hangs up the phone on me.
What do you think I should do?? I have paid for a full set. He doesnt have my address so how can he send me back the money?? Do I call down again and waste even more petrol?? What do you think I should do??
