Is it worth remapping stage 1

Is it worth remapping a 1.9 tdi fr 130 bhp to a stage 1 remap as debating if 2 or not as had a race with a stage 1 remapped ibiza 1.9 tdi running at 170 and he could not pull away so is it that he's just got a bad remap any opinions help full cheers

Either:
A) he can't drive/car is knackered
B) it's not running 170
C) your car is pushing higher than 130
D) he's had way too many greasy kebabs over several years washed down with vegetable oil

Take your pick of any/all of those.

A remap, or at least a good remap, is definitely worth it.

Iv had a stage 1 revo map on my car for over a year and it makes a world of difference. +40bhp and +50lb/ft of torque!!! It's not just the peak torque and power it's also useable more through the rev range and is alot more responsive
