Hi I m wondering if my engine mount needs replacing or if it's my gearbox starting to die, the cars a 2004 1.6 16v (BCB) mk1 seat leon, with the ERT gearbox.

The problems i'm having is at idle the car will rev hunt, up and down between 50-100rmp fluctuations, when I lift of the throttle the car really seems to judder and slows down a lot without breaking or down shifting, and I can't get into first gear unless I'm going very slowly or stopped all together.

I have noticed that the passenger side engine mount has a little bit of movement to it, nothing major but I can wobble it by hand slightly, I am really hoping this is the problem and not my gearbox about to go, I have cleaned my map sensor, throttle body, and egr valve, replaced coolant thermostat and outside air temp sensor (that was screwed when I got the car constant 10c)

Anyone, please? I really need to know if this engine mount is worth fixing or if it sounds like the gearbox is going, and I should get it sold before it dies.

Sounds like gearbox mount has gone

Have you checked all your vac lines as that can cause lumpy idle
