Hey Guys,

Coming to my current situation, I recently got a Stage 1 Tuning for my Mk2 Leon FR (200hp, 2L TFSI BWA) and now the figures (non-dyno) are 264HP & 397Nm Torque.
I don't feel like the clutch is slipping (yet) since I drive pretty chill and accelerate hard only in situations like merging onto an highway.
I searched for the Load Capacity of the stock Clutch & Flywheel but couldn't find what the upper limit on it is.

My question is, what is the peak torque the stock clutch & flywheel can handle?
If these (peak) specs are too much to handle, would it still be fine if I don't push the car to its limits (lets say keeping it under 4k RPM in up to 4th/5th Gear)

If I do need to absolutely upgrade the components, what would be the recommendations. Or is it better for me to remap and reduce these figures.

For bit more context, the car just completed its 250k KM today and I'm the third owner.
It was assured to me that it was well taken care of in the past but I'm not sure if the clutch was ever replaced in the past.

Thanks in advance!

Yes and no

Yes it should be able to handle stage 1

No it will fail if:

Old worn out clutch
Clutch replaced, but with cheap brand
Clutch replaced, flywheel previously damaged and not surfaced
**** map with huge torque spike
Too many hard pulls

The previous owner didn't mention anything about them when I asked about parts that have been replaced so my guess is this is still the stock clutch & flywheel.

Thanks for the reply!
