Just got a price for mopping and polishing my black lcr, should get the swirl marks out and some light scratchs, also two little car park dents that are being repaired.
Quoted £270 any good ?? i guess its going to be there all day.

sounds ok a mate of mine going to do mine for £100 he said he charges about £180 to £230 depends on size of car but if u are haveing a few dents done as well that dont sound to bad

Sound like a good price, if sorting a couple of dents is included.

One thing though, you say mopping and polishing! If they are using a rotary polisher with a woolen polishing mop head, then there is a chance that holograms will be induced.
Have a chat with the guy doing the work about the process he is going to use, and make sure there is a final finishing stage with a very light abrasive polish on a soft finishing mop to remove the holograms.

You don't want to pay all that money only to find that when it's parked in the sun it looks like there are smudges all over the car.

I have to admit the price doesn't surprise me, the LCR has a lot of paintowrk to cover, and de-swirling then takes an age.

Last few I have done took hours in all, thats without any dent removal....

As Ali has said, I'd like to know exact process and products before commenting on price....

I've seen your work, Phil's car (Empi5) thats what I want, you have done a super job, lot of hard work has gone into that, really does look a lot like mine, tints, wiper, aieral.

If you where closer to me you would defo have the pleasure of doing mine.
Spoke to the guy who's quoted me, not going to clay it, not really sure of the process really, just said we will get the swirl marks and scratchs out for me.
Walked into another place in Exeter (Professional Valet Centre) lol asked them how much would it be and if they clayed cars, guy looked at me like a was talking hindu, so I quickly walked out of there.
All I want is someone to make my lcr sparkle and do the process correctly.


And o yea someone thats closer than Rochdale.

de-swirling without claying first is a bit of a no no. Using abrasives polishes on paint with still holds surface contaminents is not the best approach.
