Hy guys i have recently k04'ed my cupra mk3 and put in forged rods new bearings and rings after the run in period im after a good remap how ever i live on an island in scotland and the nearest jabba place is over 300 miles away!, however a place just across the water from me called "GIMotorsports" have ssaid if i send them my ecu and a list of all my bolt ons and spec they would make me a map based on all my parts, i am a bit wary of this as hhow can get air fuel ratios correct? and know what boost to run ect ect, should i just take it to him direct for rolling road map? he said hed do it for £380 this seems alot could i get a rolling road map for this money? cheers guys i just want a reliable map that will make most of my set up!

cheers again guys!

It's possible to do it, but you'd need to run several times with various map corrections and with VCDS data logging, stuff like EGT,cf,lambda value. And they'd need to see these logs. But it's unlikely they'll do this and it'll just be a generic map.

Cheers for reply! hmmm i only have vcds light so i dont think i can do that and i doubt they would even ask for that so looks better in the long run to just take it to them and rolling road map? cheers again!

I agree with Dan1720v. You ideally would need a genuine rosstech setup to attain a decent frame rate in your logs for a more accurate reading. When It comes to remaps, especially Turbo'd petrols, you best off going to someone who has the right kit and experience.
