Is this Right - paint code for Brown/copper

Guest
had a look under my boot mat to try and get my paint code. ( gonna spray skirts and bumpers)

from what i can see my paint code is just "L".

Should this not be followed by additional letters or numbers. I cannot post attachments yet as dont have enough posts but it definitely only says "L". to the far right of the L there is DW but the sticker says this is the interior code

it also lists the car as IBIZA 2.0 GTI AIRBAG ABS T.

im nearly sure it dont have abs cos when i brake it takes a wee while and lock up if i try any sorta serious stopping.

Please help lol..

Is there different shades in the copper/brown.

Yours looks a tad lighter than mine..

on closer inspection is looks the same lol, just tidier than mines lol.

Did you paint your skirts etc yourself? gonna do the handles on mine and prob put chrome mirrors on.

Yours looks well mind... love the wheels!

thanks lads. love this forum lol!!

Is there anyplace online that yous would recommend i use for the paint or is it just best to go to local paintshop, ive never had to buy paint before so no experience to draw on.

Want the match to be as perfect as can be lol.

been recomended (but yet to test i might add) to use a white primer

i just called a local paint supplier and ordered 2 aerosols - once laid down a clean up and lacquer is needed as it looks crap flat matt

comes out too light and yellowy sadly as i was hoping to try the effect out more ;)

cheers for the info, what did you do about your jack coverings on the skirts, im missing one and the other dont really sit in flush,

just order new ones and skin over the top with fiberglass or something??

just another thought, what about the wheels, wanna paint them white until i get the coin up for new ones.

What sorta prepping would i have to do m8.

Cheers!!

doesnt help with the car being a rough ride at the best a times a suppose lol,

I see you have the headlight conversion done,

my 1.4 sxe i had came with them standard, there a nice job.

much did you pay if ya dont mind me asking, was gona get angel eyes but have been advised from few boys on here not to get them, so headlight conversion mite be the latest item on the "to do" list.. lol.
