Is this right?

I was fixing something the other day on my car and noticed a t-piece from the top of my dump valve. The pipe leads to inside the car. I'm guessing its for my boost gauge.
Have people done it like that before? Will it effect anything on performance?

should be fine, so long as there is no kinks in the line etc

Mine is ran the same. Must have the other end blanked or blocked off.
