is this warning light serious?

A light came on in my dash this morning, I've looked in the manual and it appears to be the excess pollution/diagnostic light (although in the manual it has a lightning bolt going into it but on my dash it doesn't)... is this something that I can can change myself or do I need to get it sorted out at a garage? Not sure if it is a coincidence or not but my window washer fluid light came on a day or so before.

Mainly i just want reassurance that nothing is majorly wrong with the engine and that its safe to drive until I get it MOT'd in a week or two.

Thanks in advance for any help..

Is it the same as in this pic?

If so it's the same light and as above get it vag-com'd.

Got my Leon back on Monday.. apparently it was a temperature sensor that had gone.
I had two weeks driving my folks Fiat Stilo and and am so glad to have my car back all
working fine.. it was like driving a taxi and the ride was so bouncy.

No, it was already booked in for an MOT on Monday with the guy who usually sorts my cars out so I got him to check it over while he had it. The only problem was that the light came on 2 weeks before that so I just borrowed my folks car in the meantime.
