A mate at work brought his G/F's MK4 golf in for me to plug Vagcom in.
The ABS light was on permanantly so he wanted me to scan for any faults. We diagnosed a "Speed sensor" on the front left wheel (love vagcom for its accuracy) so decided to take a look.
Got the wheel off and checked the sensor and found it caked in mud and general cack. Quick blow over with a high pressure air hose (the type you blow your tyres up with) and put the wheel back on.
Cleared the faut and went for a drive. Fault now clear.
Worth checking things like this yourself before going to a dealer and paying an hours labour for them to plug the computer in, and then the extra parts and labour they will charge you.
