Brendy: The guys at inde-tech think it was a dodgy turbo... we went for an official VAG exchange one in the end for cost reasons. (See below) Both impellers - induction and exhaust - were munched !! MK SEATs take on the situation was that 'something had been through it' !! When I asked them 'How did it get through the engine without damaging that then ?' They had no answer !!

Spaniels: I would have gone for an Allard conversion if I hadn't already ordered the Brera and our lass is going to be driving the Leon !!

Have you taken the cylinders out to see if there's any bits of piston ring missing then? inspected the head for debris?

Why would i want to do that ... it's running fine and back to it's old fuel efficient, LCR ass kicking self now another VAG sourced (not from MK SEAT) is in place !!
PS You missed the MK bit out of your quote there m0rk, any particular reason for that ??
