My car has gone to "stealers" to get fixed of the flashing car key light on the instrument panel....
I shall update to let you know how things go...

the key ;light is an immobiliser problem iirc. if it need a new one its a new cluster which is a £400-£500 job!

this cluster seams to be coming up alot at the moment, is it similar to the audi tt dash pod problems - audi now replace them foc up to 5 years old i think. may be a way forward.

i doubt SEAT will offer this. they are gits when it comes to pay for anything inside or outside of warranty

i think audi refused to start, but it went to watchdog or somewhere similar, and things changed. who knows.

will probably be a new console job and budget for it costing £450+

had this problem myself and had to have my immobiliser bypassed as i couldn't and wouldn't pay for what was obviously a manufacturing fault with these 6 dial dashes

Yay!!

good news!
Because me *brilliant* brought a 4 dial instrument panel of eBay! for 145 quid yay! got a phone call today at about 3.30 it was seat! They had fixed it and it was all working fantastic!! Very happy that they fixed it and the on slapped a bill of 80quid to do it! very very pleased!
I shall update when i get the car tomorro and than shall update to see if it is still working in about 2-3months LOL!!
The only SEAT dealer that helped and did'nt rip me off! HAPPY!
So if you do have that problem EBAY IT!

So you basically got the garage to swap the 6 dials for 4 dials and re-code them?

Yep thats right i just changed from 6 dials to 4 dials got seat to re-code my car the instrument pannel and my keys and bam! it works everytime with out fail!
Just gota fix why i dnt have a speedo, Seat looked at that for me for 45mins and said its not a fault it may be a cable, its not coming up as a error on the digo so now i just gota fix that if anyone out there could help me out i would be most happy!
