Your bang on the money, comparing different dyno graphs isnt ideal, however its slightly more comparable than normal when both graphs have the stock Bhp/torque on them and correlate pretty well.

So if the stock curves correlate, the tuned curves should be near enough on the ball as well.

The 0-60 doesnt mean much in real life terms though as you are flat out in the top end of the rev range. In gear times are what matter in real world driving, where your say in 3rd gear at 3000rpm etc, thats when a difference of 40Hp/40lbft would be very notable. Then theres the timing gear etc, some guys have used high tec GPS laser testing equip, others have used I Phone Apps on the local hill,

You can easily drive around that though, by changing down the gears before you accelerate. An example of this: The Clio RS200. similar power, but low torque, and performs the same as the other hot hatches when driven at the redline. but in lower speed, higher gear scenarios it loses out to all the other turbo charged cars.

Id bet your car will be every bit as quick down the 1/4 mile as all the other stage 1 cars.[B)]

Am i right in saying you also have an intake?

Yeah i've got a forge filter with a large alloy 90degree bend rather than all that bendy tubing. Need to get a larger intake/filter though as Kevin @ Jabba mentioned to me that it was creating a hold up at higher revs. He mentioned that Forge filters aint all that good.

I agree its a big difference to revos offering but as Kev said they can modify as wanted, Kev knows his stuff and has took lots of time looking into these engines and in his opinion(heads up lucifer) the best way to prevent these misfires are colder plugs.

I know your not trying to belittle me or the Jabba boys, your clearly clued up and I have no problems with that. :)

Next up for my Cupra is to get a good clean air feed into the car get rid of hold up.

Yeah when I had it set up as forge wanted I felt nothing, felt/feels better once I sorted it my way but I think the filter is too constrictive. does sound lovley now though :D Im in talks with a company that sorted/produced an intake kit on my 120bhp fiesta that gave 5bhp on a DD rolling road, small amount but not bad on a small N/A car.

Yeah well I duno if youve seen how I have mine set up?

Basically the bit that connects between the grill and intake is just a cut up bit of the original forge bendy tubing, so it does get the entier intake vent, need to make something that flows it better into the filter. Was just looking onyour RR thread, good times at the pod for the conditions!

Just looking at this thread again, on paper taking Jabba vs Revo :

Jabba : 211bhp & 205lbs
Revo : 215bhp & 211lbs

To be honest that's not a lot in it so Jabba have done seemingly well to produce a map which isn't aggressive (as per the OP) and still manages to put down some decent figures that are close to Revo

I was under that impression of around 210-220ftlbs was What revos were running but seems that revos claims are low( werid!)
I think the guys are saying the ingear grunt is much more on revos. I cant say not driven one. Getting paid friday so might give it ago on my local trusted R rstuning in leeds.

I
Was booting it about a bit more recently and im more and more impressed with it the more i give it. Mpg hasnt dropped and if your Just driving along normally its Just as smooth as ever

Im hoping for some lovely results tomorrow.....Im without my car for a week.

yep.

Going from a stage 2 map which made 213hp/230lbft with decat DP/Forge intake

to

A custom map with stock intake, Pace IC, Pace RAD and decat exhaust.

I'm after a realistic 225Hp (thats a Forum equivalent to 240hp lol) or +15Hp over my current setup before/and after dyno run

Sounds like a plan mate, Jabba?

Yeah hes getting it sorted at Jabba. How is it thatyou work out the f-bhp figure again ? ;) lol

Thinking if IGT will sort me out with just the filter kit so I can swap it out for the restrictive forge one I have now, I think the rest of my intake set up is pretty good right?

I call it the 7% rule. Get your flywheel hp, add 7% and get boasting.

It works backwards as well.

All tge guys on here with the alleged revo stage 1 225hp, with my 7% rule actually have about 209hp.
Its fool proofunless applied by an idiot.....

lol ahh nice figures there. :) When you go down tomorrow, could you ask Kev to email me the graphs of the runs for mine in both 4th and 5th standard and mapped as I've been waiting some time now with no reply even though Jabba have read the thread/messages =/ Thanks!

If you need anything doing on the VCDS he has all the stuff too mate.

Enjoy the Slowda mate. its scarily slow to drive! (take it your getting the curtsy car)

1.9 SDI. 69bhp when it rolled off the factory 10 years ago... Seriously, I pulled out of a petrol station onto the motorway flooring it and a truck (that was LITERALLY miles away) had to go into the other lane to pass me!

LOL

Would make anything feel fast!

Don't you consider your "stage 2" to be custom given it was your car they used to develop?

Agree with that - especially as mine was 206bhp at a realistic stage 1 figure with no bolt-ons :D
