Hi all, Yesterday i purchased a new 2005 LCR in silver after selling m 05 LCR in red 6 months ago. Im after a Jetex - JR open cone filter but wondering if there any additional parts i need to purchase. Ive got a Autobahn 88 Tip already on the car but the original airbox still fitted. Is it just the cone I need to purchase and what size neck? Im sure its 80mm?
Also i have made my own custom heatshield for it as im a welder/ CNC Punchpress op/ CNC Press Brake op
If anyone is interested then im thinking about making these and selling them.
Ive made a couple of prototypes to try on the car once i have bought the filter to get the exact measurements so they fit perfect.
I will also be spraying them with high temp paint and fitting the rubber edging on the top to make it look as neat as possible. They will also be fully welded and dressed to give a professional finish.
Here are a couple of pics of my 2 style mock ups if anyone is interested and once i have got the correct sizes and completed mine i will post more pics of the finished product.
