Hi all,

I've owned my FR since April this year and I'm loving so far. First VAG car as well. Previously had some older beemers, and fancied something a bit different, and a bit more reliable.

I'm not mechanically minded in the slightest, so this forum has been a awesome in terms of reference and help. Incredibly, on previous cars, I've never really done any 'mods' other than change the head unit, so be gentle.

I don't have any 'before' pics unfortunately, but if you can picture a completely standard Red Leon bought from a dealer, then that's pretty much it. :)

Don't think I can post pics yet, due to post count, but I'll do a list of what I have done and plan to do.

Seat Leon FR 2.0 TFSI:

So far:-

  • Pioneer AVH-x3600DAB Head unit
  • Uprated JL Audio door speakers
  • Lowered on Eibach's - 30mm
  • Fox MS007 Black 18' alloys
  • Calipers painted (Yellow)
  • Wrapped 'S' Badge and grill
  • Team Heko Wind deflectors
  • New Mats

Received but not fitted yet:

  • Triple R Front Splitter
  • Side Skirts

Future:

  • Spoiler
  • Stage 1 map - DONE
  • Induction Kit - DONE
  • Miltek Cat-back - DONE
  • DV+ recirc valve - DONE

  • Stage 2 map - DONE
  • Decat & Downpipe - DONE

I look forward to sharing some pics when I can.

Cheers!

Just

I need to get this post count up!

Missed delivery of my side skirts twice already, so having to drive unreasonably far to pick them up, as my 'local' depot is miles away.

Then I'll enquire about getting them painted and fitted, for a decent price!

Picked up skirts.

Engine light on when I drove back.

Bittersweet really.

Thanks mate. Yeah, probably do that next. Need to wait a bit until I can get skirts painted and fitted.

Looks good mate.

Have you gone for the BTCC skirts?

Thanks mate.

Yeah I have. I was debating whether to get something completely different, but I know that they look pretty decent on the FR (thanks to this site!), so went with them in the end.

Will shop around for paint and fitting.

Got the car booked on for a diagnosis for the EML on Monday. Luckily don't need the car too much this weekend. I'm hoping it's nothing major!!

Doesn't seem to be losing any power or anything, so fingers crossed.

Check engine light came off over the weekend, but kept my diagnostic appt anyway, to be safe. Took it to my local SEAT dealer.

So, it seems to be a 'Purge Valve' that needs sorting. Happy it's nothing too major, as I think it's more of an emissions thing. Hopefully covered under the dealer warranty I have anyway. Will have to give them a call and check.

Still drivable though, which is handy as I need it for the bank holiday weekend!

Once sorted, I can get back to doing the fun stuff!!

Purge valve not covered by warranty which is disappointing. Couple of hundred to get sorted. Think I need some pads and discs as well, so may just get all that done at once - rather use the money for fun stuff, but never mind.

Only got one quote so far for fitting and painting my skirts, and that's from my local stealer - £270. I'll see if anyone independent can have a look, but don't think that's too bad really.

A quick update:

Got a decent quote for paint and fitting for my skirts, so will get round to that soon.

In the meantime, I'm booked in for a Stage 1 remap and Miltek cat-back exhaust tomorrow!!

Really looking forward to that!!

Back from picking the car up. Unbelievable. Drives like a completely different car.

Standard: 193.7bhp /Torque: 229.8lb.ft

After map: 263.3bhp /Torque: 300.2lb.ft

So chuffed. Also had:

- Miltek Cat back (twin pipe - non-res)
- Pipercross Panel Filter
- GFB DV+ Diverter Valve

So happy with the results.

Just need to get splitter and skirts done.

Had a full service done.

Also accidentally got a decat, air filter and Stage 2 remap. That's enough money for now. Didn't get given the rolling road data, so waiting for that.

Still need to get the skirts and splitter fitted as well!

Been a while since I've been on here. Noticed that my car had a pic taken when I was at a meet in St Albans. Hadn't really seen it from afar. Happy with how it's sitting. Just need to pull my finger out and get the splitter and skirts fitted.
