Jesus Jordan, your car drinks like a 1.8T!

My 1.2 does 38-40mpg over a tank if I drive it steady, it's done over 400 miles to a tank before, but usually gets 380-390.

The first VAG car in the family was the parent's A6 which makes the same ping noise for fuel. I was amazed when I found mine made the same noise! Always catches me by surprise the little bugger!

I hate you all... I bet your all wadded!! I could literally afford to pay £400 a month on insurance for a diesel, I would save that much on fuel.. For that I could have an A4 2.5tdi cabrio...

Want a mk4 FR thoughhh :)))

Mines got 180BHP and it does 51.3mpg on the motorway.

O its petrol none of that devil fuel!!

I once calculated mine(from km/liters) and I remember it was also only like 25mpg or even less on my 1.4 8v... It was about 12-14 km per liter at most, I usually avarage even less. Then again, I'm quite rubbish at economical driving...

Jordan! You must be related to Jeremy Clarkson (ie: lead foot) to get that mpg. Even when I was driving briskly, I could get into the 30's! Now I'm granny driving 20 miles to work, I'm getting like 45  :p

Agree with that!!!! In my Mk2 1.4 even if I have a good blast I get mid-30's mpg wise and like you I granny drive the same distance as you to/from work and get over 40 at least.

And thats with my Mk2 having 140k on the clocks.
