Yeah, got so many parts that fit Mk4!

I dont need anything bigger, i very rarely have any passengers.

Ideally i'd have a Polo GTI (9n3) But they're all 20% more than ibizas (for good reason) plus i dont like the interior (not that the interior in ibizas is luxury) but i prefer the ibizas interior.

I just need something with punch and something that's tuneable that isnt just show and no go.

Take it from me, don't do it! I was over the moon when i first got my second mk4 but i'm fed up looking at them now! There's plenty of other cars to be had that are still different. Also, have you been in an ibiza with fr suspension? It's very hard so make sure you can live with it!

I haven't even been in an FR, but i have been running budget coilovers on my car for nearly a year! I can't imagine it could get any worse!

Well the choices would be

Cooper S (bit girly + they're a bit like a clit, every c**t has one)
Corsa VxR (wouldn't dare)
Polo GTi :)love: but expensive)
Clio Sport (IMO a Low tech engine that just cannot compete with 1.8T)
Fabia vRS (don't do enough miles to warrant a diesel)

So it only really leaves an ibiza!

Black cooper s with all the chrome removed is a nice car. Much better than the ibiza imo! Even budget coils are better than the extremely underdamped suspension in the fr and cupra models - it really is shocking! Mind you, for yourself, it will be a massive leap ahead even if you do get the ibiza :)

Yeah it doesn't really get much more basic that my ibiza!

I need to get the top mounts sorted too.

It's started making a new noise now, when i turn right (on a roundabout for example) its like a screeching noise. No idea what it could be! It's also on the passenger front side.

My god, everyone's selling their Ibizas at the moment!

Got to be honest if I was looking for a new car I'd have to change from the Mk4, I don't believe you should buy the same car twice, I'd at least have to upgrade to the Mk5 if I was sticking with Ibizas.
It's aweful the 1.2L
It's not that bad! You knew it was a 1.2 when you bought it, I challenge you to go and find another n/a 1.2 that is a significant improvement.

You guys have both put so much effort into your Ibizas, won't be nice seeing them (probably) leave the forum!

Agreed Chris, made that mistake once and never again!

Unfortunately the mk4 ibizas are getting on a bit now and therefore within the reach of chavs lol

I'd actually like a shot in a 1.2 just for the fun of it. Never driven a car with as little power lol

Hahah i know what you mean RF, seen a few chavs driving FR's (they think its the top spec ibiza:lol: )

But yeah just been thinking, i know what you guys mean, but i cannot think of a car on the same platform with a decent power engine that can be tuned to a decent 200bhp.

I'd love a MK5 Cupra, (cheaper insurance :ban: ) but they're like twice the money of a Mk4 FR/Cupra!

May just hold out for the A5 (which is going for stage 2 soon :funk: ) Nice 340BHP and 38MPG!

Ahemmmmmm blanco lol
It's true though. It appears people don't know how to do subtle anymore.

Says he with a bright red interior.

Think I'm digging a hole here...

Do that. Let's put things into perspective again, you've a pretty nice car as it is, might not win any races but it's relatively new and good looking! I think you'd be best sticking with it until the A5 comes into budget, be a proper step up.

Peace, I'll try and stop sounding like your mum/dad/girlfriend/wife now

Insurance on GTIs is just ridiculous.

Shame I'm not home at the moment, that Polo is only 5mins away from where I live

Same price as an FR for me!

Still nothing new to report, MOT tomorrow, means they can tell me whats actually making the noises from the front!

And it will pass 100% (Guvvy Job)

:-o That's it! I give up trying to fathom how insurance works.

Good luck with the MOT.

Cheers!
