Hi,

Bought a Badger 5 induction kit for my LCR, just wondering if anyone knows whether the JR cone filters need oiling. Or are they a dry filter?

Thanks

Ive read dry ones are better than oiled ones, something to do with the MAF maybe?

I know am resurrecting here guys but I was just wondering. I cleaned my V3 Badger Induction kit's cone filter last week using an air gun to remove dust and dirt. I pumped the filter with airgun from outside and when I put my hand inside the filter I had some oil residue. If they are dry how comes there was oil after pumping filter with air from the outside? Or is it normal for it to have oil residue?

I am now confuse whether I need to reoil it or not?

You should have pumped it from the inside out. I'd put that filter in the bin now as you have just forced the dirt particles through the filtering medium to the side that goes to meet the turbine fins.
