What mods for the turbo? You having the turbine machined for better sealing? Not going for the dominator?

Still not been mapped as i have been fitting Ross inlet mani and i am waiting for an adapter to be made for the VR6 throttle body and also want to put a bigger intercooler on before its mapped.

I have tried a few full throttle runs as the car is at the moment and i can notice allot more power at top end although it is slightly more laggy than the IHI, I am getting afr readings on WOT as low as 10 - 10.5 at 1.5bar which is slightly odd as i thought this was very rich??

At least you have it all working. Is a larger throttle body a requirement for this setup?

how much is the intake manifold and throttle body and where are the proof in gains in the uk?
Cams make 20-30 real whp on a evo across the range at the same boost level.
Change in cams from standard too uprated i won't bore you with specs,

Interesting thread this... and it's feeding my IHI paranoia Ryan

I had reported on the JKM RR thread that my car was running noticeably smoother and more responsive, and it was until I did a 3hr round trip at the weekend. Car was great on the way there, noticeably quiter cruising at 80ish and almost instant spool for light/mid throttle.

Half way home and droning exhaust and lagginess returned and its been the same ever since

I really must get around to getting it all taken off and finding what's leaking :headhurt: Though the fact that it CAN run well maybe points to turbo-mani leak, but would this cause laginess?

Bill - I like the idea of your sleeve mod between mani and turbine housing [B)]

And how is the "UK" statement relevant Ryan?

Gains in UK will be seen soon enough... a dynojet is a dynojet no matter which continent it sits in, and before and after dyno's on the same car are as consistent as you can get.

SEM works without question. 007 did for me, in the UK too! lmao.... No reason SEM will not surpass it and realise gains for others to.

:D

Wilko, what MAF size and throttle body do you have on your car? I've bought a new turbo similar to yours and I'm wondering if I'll saturate the MAF and whether the throttle body will kill the air flow?

hey bill ,didn't say that your throttle body/intake manifold mod would not do the extra power,i'm sure it does ,all i was interested in was seeing some results. In evoland we don't touch the intake manifold/throttle body till well over 500bhp as it isn't the bottleneck.Cams/pulleys are bread and butter for evo's. Dynojet's in my opinion overead immensly,i'd only trust dyno dynamics which read slightly lower than mustang dyno's(remember them bill).Either way like you said same dyno should show gains if run in the same way.I've seen some wild claims in the us so i tend to be a bit scepticle.

Stewie,i don't think a cracked manifold can be intermitent, check for leaks etcdump valve.
