Jumping out of reverse

When selecting reverse it never really feels like it engages fully and a few times it has jumped out whilst reversing, I would say 1 in 20 times I really hope this isnt a gearbox issue and just needs some adjustment ?

It is due a service in 1000 miles so will ensure its looked at then.

Wouldn't have thought you would need a new gearbox however i can't think of anything else it could be. Am sure you will be in warranty if so take back to the dealers and see what they say.

Sometimes try putting your foot about 80-90% down on the clutch when engaging. Or right down then back to 80-90%

i drive LOTS of different veichles, car, van, truck, machine and all have different characteristics, this one pops up alot.

does it do it for 1st gear also (even slightly)

A 61 plate with 16000 miles will be under warranty.

It's probably a case of calibrating the gear change linkage. It's quite easy to do

Here is a video link that should show what's involved click me

//I had a few threads I was reading open and posted here a reply that was supposed to go to another thread. Can't figure out how to delete, if that's at all possible.

My apologies for this post!
