Hi all,

I drive a Toledo 'T' reg and am having some problems with my wiper blades. The trouble is that they bounce across the windscreen. Unless the windscreen is well lubricated in a torrential downpour they have been known to stall on thier return journer to the other side of the screen.

They are fairly slow in speed too.

Does anyone have any suggestions - they will be greatfully received.

Thanks

I'd hazzard a guess at the spindles being close to siezed

Died completely on my W-reg MkII so I had to replace the mechanism, but some people on here have managed to breathe new life into theirs with a simple strip-down and lubricate

If you remove the linkage from under the scuttle panel infront of the windscreen and unbolt the motor, it should be immediately obvious if you can move them easily or if they're stiff to move

Try a good soaking with WD40 first ;)

Thanks guys for your replies.

Since the weekend is nigh, I will have some time to take a look!!

Thanks for your help.

to be honest, i am-i want a sig!!!

Only a sig? Most of your posts have seemed pretty pointless tbh. If you want to get your post count up you could try making some useful contributions? Meaningless posts in genuinely informative threads or ones where people who have genuine queries they want answers to is a bit frowned upon really. But hey, were not clones, it's a free world...but you may get peoples backs up.

hahahah cool,
have you intorduced yourself in the relevant section? you can often strike up a conversation with multiple posts ;)

otacustes.........i hope you get your wipers sorted, especially as this british weather is PANTS! cant believe how miserable it is......send me back to doobers!!!!!!!!!
are your blades the OEM ones? after you get your motors sorted, consider aerowipers. they are a good mod....i used the VW ones (i cut my blades) but as suggested i understand the Bosch ones are as good.
