Just wondering what bhp/torque figures you all have in your LCR's

Only post if you have a print out to post up as proof please. Also please specify what all is done to your car. And this isnt a mine is bigger than yours thread. Just curious.

Why do you need to see a print out?
My car without any mods was 218 BHP and 212ft-lbs
With mods 230 BHP and 224ft-lbs
Both different Rolling roads
But you might not believe this???

My graph is on here somewhere revo stage 1 nothing else 272bhp and 300lbsft
(Seatcupra.net rolling road day at Stealth if you fancy searching)

Do I believe the results :cartman:.........about as much as I believe Jabba stage 1 remapped cars get 280bhp

Whatever the rolling roads say I believe 250-260bhp on a stage 1 remapped LCR is about right, How can I be so sure? well I must have been to 4 or 5 rolling road days in my LCR and seen probably 50 LCR's being run.

Tuners like to give optimistic figures backed up by some dodgy graph from some optimistic rollers.....why? because it sells their product

Why I asked for graphs? Some LCR's are remapped and the tuner says there you go your car is now 270/280bhp or whatever (and its clearly not).

See what Ruddmeister has said above.

I think most people on these forums know that the 270+bhp claims from a stage 1 remap are BS, but put yourself in a Tuners position, if the company down the road claim 260bhp then it's tempting to claim 265bhp....figures sell product. In Fairness a few companies like Awesome Gti have always made a stand against this type of practice.

As another test (and purely for research) I took my 270bhp Revo stage 1 LCR and raced it side by side up the M5 with another completely standard LCR ( Rolling start from 50-60mph to erm.......well quick enough) my LCR was slightly quicker pulled maybe 2 car lengths.

This indicates to me that is the std car produces circa 225bhp my car had maybe 20-30bhp more only.

Is this test conclusive? no, but then neither are rolling road results which depend on the skill of the operator, loading on the rollers, temperature etc etc

Another question I would like answered is why do people change the exhaust on their LCR's? unless your going Big Turbo (or you like the extra Noise  )I have never seen a shred of evidence they give you more than 5bhp (and they cost up to £1100)

About 360bhp/420lbft:D

Clutch upgraded but engine as it was when it left the factory 4yrs ago :) Been like this 2+yrs and 50k miles:)

Proof when it reaches 7000rpm in 6th gear with ease and keeps up with some exotic machinery:)

Dont care if you believe me, have graphs from 3 rolling roads all showing 400+lbft. However cant prove the 360bhp claim. Only a guess as you never know with nitrous. However i have proved a 50hp shot of nitrous before and after improves power/torque by about 65hp/120lbft

Considering hybrid K04 and stage 2 max + nitrous as above, i can assume my figures are fairly reliable:)

Pretty quick, but LCR getting outdated and will be traded in fairly soon i think :) Fed up of spunking out lots of cash on upkeep and maintenance. S-Line A3 170 i think  Cheaper insurance/tax/maintenance and 600miles to a tank, yes please. Getting too old for all this boy racer stuff:happy:

Mitchy, Mitchy, Mitchy.. You're not getting old like me are ya?... lol
I know what ya mean though. Although, i'm not going to the Tractor side for a while yet though.. ha. Think it's going to be new S3, or Ed30 with map obviuosly.. Really do like the S3/A3 interior though, especially with a set of these bad boys in.. ;)

Anyway, baxk on subject..
Revo Stage 1... 262bhp 295lb/ft (JBS Rollers)
Had 272 on another set of rollers, but think it's more towards 260 to be fair..

Ben....Im doing quite a bit of mileage now mate, 450 miles per week just to get to work. Over a month thats about £350 and over the year x 11 months, around £4000 (Thats just work cost)
Along with £220 tax, £750 insurance and around £1000 per year in maintenance. Added on top of that about another £1500 in fuel just for leisure trips.

Fed up of just 'wasting' money. (Approx £7500 per year running my LCR just now)

The petrol 2.0t hatches are lovely but financially they dont make sense for me:( However the 600mile range of the 2.0tdi S-Line A3 does :) The savings in fuel/insurance/tax etc

Never ever thought id hear myself say that:lol:

Think they're pretty nippy when chipped aswell :)

Also got a baby on the way, cant be haring around roads at twice the speed with the nipper in the back:happy:

My next fast car will be when im having a mid life crisis i think:lol:

i presume that price is including downpipe and cat?

its an interesting question, and one ive pondered. Without going stage 2 i dont see the point, however with stage 2 id say the gains on the road are more than just the bhp figures seen on rolling roads due to the power holding longer up the rev range.

But certainly the gains are no where near as good per £ against a basic remap once all the mods are costed in.

This is what changing my LCR exhaust did...
