JVC Headunit

Does anyone else have this problem.

Ive fitted a JVC cd player, and i think the live feed isnt working. It wont store the time or the CD positions etc, and it comes on and starts playing the CD from the beginning when I start the car.
Also, when i turn the car off and remove the key, it takes a few seconds for the car to unlock and the interior light to come on. Sometimes I have to manually unlock the car. If the cd player is on when i turn the ignition off, it will unlock straight away.
The car is an 05 TDi FR BTW.
Any help greatfully appreciated.

could be the permenent live and the switched live are the wrong way around

thats the yellow and the red wires, try swapping them as it's a common problem

yep the need the wires swapping there is a y connector just swap them around!

Cheers, i'll try that. Its strange though that the original Alama CD player worked fine
Ill have a look on the weekend and see if I can cjange em round.

Indeed, the perm and ign lives are different.

you can get adaptors if you dont fancy chopping the cables.

i got a controls adaptor for mine which sorted it all out in one go.
