K03s fmic

Hi I have a 1.8t 180bhp Leon currently has:
Full exhaust decat ( direnza system )
Forge 008 dv
All deletes done
Ramair induction kit

I do have a toyosports welly cooler but I have read that the fmic may be too much for a K03s
Is this true?
My car will be getting mapped when the fmic goes on and I get a tip

You need a FMIC for a stage 2 remap.

The k03s can get very hot it's a small turbo

I would get a turbo intake pipe (TIP) as standard is very restrictive

Yeh I have one of those in the boot, went to install it and came across problems , the standard one seemed to of been permanently fixed to the turbo so I didn't want to rip it of with out Being 100 % sure i can put the forge one back

Stage 1 is factory standard. You've nearly finished the mods to get to stage 2 so you might as well jump straight to that.

Standard one is secured to the turbo with a small bolt I think Allen key, then twist it 90" and it will come off

I'm in Swindon and I drive to Birmingham for mine to see Phil cooper at TRP developments he's the dogs nuts with VAG lumps

Ha a simple Bolt ?! I got so frustrated trying to work out how to get it of !, thanks man I'll swap that over at some point

Yeah I was going to hybrid it with my k04 gear but changed my mind and going stage 1 remap with a fresh paint job ( onvi yellow )
Is it worth putting the fmic on?

Yea drops temps loads when boosting hard



My ko3s with welly cooler but on BAM inlet manifold to avoid pipework over gearbox

I vinyl wrapped mine yellow love it

I did exactly the same to my 180 when fitting my pro alloy fmic and hard pipes

Yeah I got it off a guy and he had a bam inlet
Is it worth getting one?

The inlet reverse just make the pipework easier for a single pass intercooler
