K04-001 fitted, overboosting like ****

Hi chaps, so I fitted a k04-001 turbo yesterday, as far as anyone could tell it is a genuine, took it out for a drive after letting it warm up I have it some throttle boost spiked to 28psi and of course I **** my self and haven't driven it since, I have disconnected the n75 and it's just boosting to 8psi this I'm told eliminates actuator and waste gate fault?! The spec of my car is, revo stage 2 map

3inch blue flame turbo back with 100 cell race cat
Brand new forge front mount ic
007p ( with new piston)
Forge tip
2.0 tfsi bolt down coils

If anyone has any idea at all I'd be more Han grateful thanks very much nick

Have you adjusted the actuator at all don't take the preset as gospel. It may be a couple of turns too much.

8psi is 3psi higher than std for actuator
you have revo.. get an SPS and turn boost level down, or better still get it custom mapped to the turbo

Ill Definitely be coming in for a custom map bill but just haven't got the funds this close to '****'mas I'll get it on the Sps and see if that controls it! Thanks

Set to 5 on the Sps, boosts to 20 now but only if you accelerate gradually, if foot planted in say ... 2nd, overboosts and kills all power when over boosting it squeals like mad, how much for a custom map all in bill?!

You may wanna think about getting a universal intercooler too buddy. Their known to work better than Forge with anything other than a k03

I'm interested to know more about this Universal Intercooler working better than the stupidly priced Forge items... (sorry to hijack the thread).

I've just brought a kit to convert my ko3s to a k04 so will be fitting a front mount then going for another custom map. Bill, where are you based? £350 sounds awesome to me.
