All TFSI's misfire stock or modified, to a certain extent. Its a known fact, and thats the way they are. theres nowt you can do about it. Obviously, these should only be minor misfires, and not enough to bring up the Check Engine Light.
Regarding the rusted ignition coil, I have had this happen to me twice recently (features in my readers rides thread). Water has got past the top seal of the coil and has sat in the well for a time, until in my case, the the iginiton coil shorted and died (two seperate cyl's). I hope you have changed that coil as I really think that will internally short or break down at some point, as mine did.
