Thanks dearest :) I bought Foxy as I love the look of the LCR, why change it!

After Saturday I will see how it's health is and see what ponies it's at :) Then after winter I may aim at getting a few extra!

+1 on the styling mods, less is more on the LCR. The only aftermarket wheels on a LCR I've seen that look nice (IMO) are the BBS CH's in anthracite on a platinum car, see rsmith's RR thread. In any other colour and/or on any other colour car they don't look as good as the OEM wheels.

Personally when I see older photos of my car with the standard wheel colour I know think it looks too bright, but that's just my taste :)

You on Wallace Performance's rollers, Kat? Don't get too hung up on numbers, I don't think they use the right estimation figures for flywheel figure. I guess Al's done some VAGCOM logging for you, if there was anything seriously amiss it would have been picked up there so I wouldn't be expecting any nasty surprises :)

I had a set of BBS Chs in High Power Silver, but I gave them to my old bf  Can't exactly ask for them back now.

No, Ricky Gauld's. Im going with three friends, they swear by him. Al did logging once when I got Foxy not long home, in November. It seemed healthy and came up with roughly 248bhp, that was with standard airbox and standard panel filter. If it made 250bhp then I guess I would be happy, I am kind of hoping for slightly more with the Jetex and Badger5 TIP.

Time will tell!

Are there any logs available Kat? Just fur a wee nosey ;)

Al posted the logs in here somewhere, good luck finding them! lol! I need to have a clear out of this thread!

Nice pics

think ill have a proper read through the thread later :)

Thanks Graeme :) There's some banter comments and rubbish in here, so a lot of it just ignore! Hope your getting on well with your new baby! Need any help just drop me a PM, I am after all only about 15 minutes from you!

Love the oem-ness of this car, very tidy example, much like :D

Thank you very much :D

I love the look of the LCR, so don't see why it would need to be changed from OEM. Thats what I always wanted, only thing about the apperance I have changed is the ride height and the carbon fibre on the doors. Everything else looks OEM! :)

Cheers m'dear! :D

Kat, just knocked together a wee plot from the logs, torque hits a peak of 278lbft then settles down to around 230 ish. BHP ends up at around 245, did you run out of road in 4th? Got to just over 6krpm before hitting the abort button I see! ;)

Why do you think that?

A few reasons, don't want to spam Kat's thread but basically someone who's a specialist VAG tuner and a member on here (not Bill) reckoned that the estimated flywheel figure for my run done at Wallace was low, he thinks the formula they used isn't right for the LCR. No disrespect to the guys there, maybe they're just more used to tuning Japanese stuff.

Ah well, I've seen silver CHs on a red LCR on here somewhere before, didn't do it for me. Maybe in anthracite it would work on a red car but so far I've only liked them on Robbie Smith's platinum car.

Never heard much about Ricky Gauld personally but recommendations are always good. Interested to see what you make with the Jetex and B5 TIP, sure it'll be a bit of a gain! around 250bhp is about right for a Custom Code stage 1 from what I read.

Sorry Kat.

Why would it change for a LCR...?

Are you aware that my Leon made 262bhp on Wallace rollers, my Ibiza made 189bhp on Wallace rollers. ALs car made 261bhp on Wallace rollers. All in standard trim!!! There is no way that these cars would make more bhp standard. Accurate is my thoughts for these rollers.

So I couldn't disagree anymore!

Again sorry Kat! :)

x2 - Wallace measured my old car and it made exactly what every other MK2 Leon Cupra did in each state of tune;

1) Standard - 257bhp
2) Standard + TBE Milltek and Carbonio - 267bhp
3) Revo S1 + TBE Milltek and Carbonio - 321bhp
4) Revo S2 + TBE Milltek, KMD Pump, S3 Intercooler, Dbilas Intake - 351bhp
5) Revo S2Plus + + TBE Milltek, S3 Intercooler, EVOMS Intake, KMD Pump - 364bhp

Its well documented all over this forum that these are the figures the Leon Cupra MK2 makes, so Wallaces rollers are pretty spot on. The only problem I have seen is with wheelspin on higher power front drive cars (350bhp/350ft-lb) but this happens on other rollers too.

Willies MK1 LCR made 289bhp on Wallaces rollers which if anything could be classed as a bit high for an LCR with the mods it has, but when you drive it and log it, it is clear it has near 300bhp.

Niall - Trying to remember when your car was r/r checked. Was it before the new turbo? All the issues you have had are a lot more likely to be the cause for a low reading than a set of rollers that appear to work well on pretty well every other car? Not having a go, but I think that the specialist VAG tuner you refer to really doesn't know what he is on about here.

@ Kat - Let me know if there is space for a passenger in Foxy on Saturday :)

I'm the guilty one.
It was a mixture of not really knowing Kat's car and being worried she'd freak if I red lined it and being 3 up at ###MPH on wee roads.
The car wasn't 100% warmed up either so actually took it further than I had planned too.

Can't really think of any other excuses

My Dad has known Ricky Gauld all his life, and also my mate Mike has just had his ek9 remapped there on Friday, and he was delighted. 250bhp and I wil be a happy young lady, with my car being a 210bhp model.

The lad Im seeing has his alloys done in Anthracite, look thrugh my thread and you will see a pic of both our cars together. Anthractie on a PLatinum car does it for me, looks awesome! Just a thought for you to consider about your wheels :)

Sorry Kat.

There is a space dearie!! Im so far travelling alone as Paul is taking his Nova, and Mike and James will be in 106. And Kat in Foxy! ;)

You did weel!!! I appreciated you and Al doing it. Hopefully Saturday will show a healthy Foxy, all being well. I wouldn't have freaked then, as she was a state! BUt now I would maybe be slightly different, you would hear 'WATCH MY PAINTWORK!!!!!!'
