The only problem there though is the tyre fitters damaging the wheels ive also had a punture on my car and when i took it in (and stood over the blokes doing it) they had a hell of a job getting the tyre off the rim though thankfully did no damage because they put a cloth over the rim as they levered the tyre off i don't think we can win here...
One thing I've noticed is that theres a very high chance of getting your rim damaged when having a new tyre on.
This worries me a bit, becuase if they do get damaged then it's just another thing to get sorted in a busy life.
I mentioned earlier in the thread that the dealer scraped my wheel - well after 2 replacements coming which apparently were in worse condition that the one they scraped they finally told me to collect the car.
It was only when I got home that I noticed a scrape round the rim created when the tyre was put on. But I really can't be bothered to take it back again as it's not really that bad (although I appreciate that's not really the point).
When I had 4 new tyres on my civic a couple of years ago they scraped all 4 of the wheels! Is this the price we pay for having low profile tyres?
