Kessy affected by static?

This is going to sound like a bit of a weird one. My wife has been having a lot of problem with static recently. The garage door shocks her, her car shocks her, the front door shocks her ?.

Last night we got out of the car and when she shut her door there was a sound like the car locked itself, but the lights didn't flash and the mirrors didn't fold. I 'locked' the car by using the fob which caused the lights to flash and the mirrors to fold. Since then KESSY hasn't worked and I have to use the fob. Is it possible to fry KESSY with static electricity?

Could be possible I think, but more likely to be just another CUPRA fault, as the company has had a few well documented problems, That's why I got the dealer to disable Kessy and not switch on any of the CUPRA connect guff at my collection of the car, and guess what, the car has driven great and fault free for over a year now. Hope you get it sorted soon.
