Key cutting gone wrong help

ok so ive done all my flip key sorted it all out all i nneded to do was get it cut

so i went to timpsons in town to get it cut droped it of and left it there for the day when i came back i picked it up with out looking and just went to my car

i put my key in and it got stiff went i took it out and looked i saw this

now i have a useless blade can anybody tell me if its possible to bu the blades by there self at all

You can buy uncut blades from eBay like this

I had mine cut for £9.99 from a photo. Can't recommend the guy enough, it's a carbon copy! Telecomman Ebay

That blade looks awful, a right bodge job. Take it back and demand a refund, wouldn't even bother asking for a replacement with that kind of work

i would do the same, absolute terrible work, .. remember the customer is always right!!

i did and he said no so ive rang company manage ment and complained a got £10 and £20 in vouchers

Out of the key?

There's a pin - I had to clamp mine in a vice and tap it with a small punch and hammer. It was really tight.

tapped mine out on the carpet no problem,just tap it with something thin like a pin or thin nail so it sticks out a bit from the one end and then pull the rest out with some pliers.

i went into Timpsons in leeds to get mine cut and he said 'I can't guarantee it will work' so i got it cut anyway and it didnt work.. went back and they wouldnt do anything about it. so i payed £15 for a useless blade....

Any places other than Timpsons that are decent and will make a key that actually works?

I linked to a couple in my first reply above - that one looks ok though.

P.S. I only had to use a vice as mine was really tight - I had already tried with a pin and nail and it didn't budge.

i went to a friend down the road used his vice mine was so tight to get out and now its all done hopefully next time i get it cut it wont be like the guy is pissed
