hi there, just bought a replacement remote keyfob from ebay, does anybody have keyfob programming instructions? thanks in advance..

- Turn ignition on, and than turn it off after 3 seconds
- While holding the lock button, press the unlock button 3 times
- Car should now lock itself to confirm it has worked
- Turn the ignition back on for about 10seconds to confirm you have finished programing

Those are the instructions that come in the car's manual, i have tried them like 100 times, and I have put new batteries in my key fob! I have come to the conclusion that either the key fob is broken(the led still flashes though) or that my car never came with remote central locking(why would I have a remote key fob?).

Where abouts is the sensor that recieves the signal from the key fob as I have looked everywhere and am convinced it does not exist??

If it helps I have a 1.4 s T-reg(in the boot it is called a 1.4 se airbag?) Probably pedro getting confused again?

I think the receiver for radio remote key fobs is behind the passenger glove box. And if you have infra red remote than it should be under the rear view mirror.

I had the same problem as you. I tried it 100s of times and it didnt work, even tho the LED flashed (found out the fob was bust). Go to Ebay and buy your self a new key fob (433.93MHz) for about £20, and that will sort your problem out.

To find out if your old fob is working, go to your local Car audio and alarms fitting place, and ask them whether they have a radio frequency tester. If yes than they will test your key fob and tell you whether it is sending out signals or not.
