Just approaching 60,000 miles in my Mk 3 Ibiza Cupra, I decided to have my little baby serviced. All of the service history was through the main dealer so i thought.....ok.....lets keep up the stamp in the service book and take it back to the main dealer. I dropped it off and jumped in the courtesy car and i thought all was well.......Little did i know!!!

I sat at the desk with the service advisor while she printed off a list of work that i need doing to my car...nice. Here goes........

Side light n,s,f showing blue
A.B.S wire worn through
Rear discs badly corroded
Requires 4 tyres
Rear shockers leaking (Bilstein PSS9's)
Recommend coolant change
Requires new fuse board due to fan fuse holder starting to melt
Recommend brake fluid change
Vac hose on servo split
Cambelt and tensioner need replacing

With all of this nice information that i was told i walked out of the Seat dealership feeling a little bit moody!!:censored:

Driving down the road the day after its service, i look down at the dash and there it is......Shining in all its amber glory......the engine management light. I dont have any loss of power or any juddering or anything so im a bit miffed as to what this is??

Does anyone around the midlands area have Vag-Com that they wouldnt mind plugging into my car for me?....Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Gav.

Sounds like the abs sensor if thats listed as worn through.

Everything on that list is either general maintence or common faults, nothing id consider unusual.

the vacuum hose on the servo is a recall and should be replaced for free.

Just read about the recall pipe, gonna phone them monday and get it done......

Had my mate check everything over at his garage and it appears that the shockers arent leaking at all, the abs wire has been cut with a stanley knive, brake fluid boiling temperature is 166 degrees c which seems brand new, coolant is absolutely mint and the two front tyres are mint all across the tyre tread...........Something very strange going on with the main dealer i think.....

Might have a little word with em!!!![:@]
