guys, think it could be top mounts but i get a knock when turning and over some harsh bumps,

any ideas, ill have it up in the air today just to check nothing is loose, got a big road trip coming up and a bit worried about it, if it is top mounts they should be ok shouldnt they, as i havent got time to do them.

cheers

I have exactly the same Nev and have come to the same conclusion so i am changing the top mount bearings at the same time put my R32 arb on and new wishbones with the uprated bushes :D mine have been doing this for a while now, dont think anything will fall of, i cheacked all the bits under the car to and could not find anything loose.

Mine did this too.
After changing the top mount bushes and bearings, drop links, ARB and bushes with no success.
So the last straw was the Ball joints, DISCO!!!!

That was the one. You don't get the nuts with the ball joints so you need these too.
These were very difficult to remove and was very glad I bought a ball joint remover as it would have been impossible to remove without this.
I left the nut on to allow the tool to latch onto this easier

If you buy good coilovers these will still be worth something in 2 years, if you buy cheapish ones they won't be worth anything.
I bought third hand KWV3's for £550, dunno how old they were but snapped the guys hand off
