I have a 53 reg Seat Leon Cupra 20vt had a map done on it and it ran 203 on rolling road and 236 lb of torque. After i have it on the rollers i found out in the dv valve i had the wrong spring as i was running 21 psi. These days i have a yellow one in and it runs much better with no waves.I have now with a little help from my mate found a way to up the boost and i have a spike of 26 psi and am holding 17 psi off a standard turbo.Has anyone else got there standard ko3s up to this level.I have been running it with no probs to date. All i have is filter and full blue falme system. What sort of power would i be running now ? ANY IDEAS ? Thanks

spike isnt whats important mate , where it hold is , between 1bar and 1.2 is the perfect operating boost for a k03s, boost doesn't always=flow which is the most important , spikes can reck your turbo and damage your engine so i'd be careful

Thanks seatcupramad23

I have had the map done years ago and when it was on the rollers i didn't know alot and left the green spring in the dv valve and it had waves in the gears the guy there said get the yellow spring so i did now for the last year its been great but a friend of mine fitted a boost gauge for me i was getting 21 psi on the spike and holding 11/ 10 .My mate played with the actuator arm and now i hit 25/26 depending on what gear and hold 17 all the way it really flys but after reading about the ko3s i haven't seen any running this psi . Its just a standard car with map and system, filter ,Thanks

You dont want to adjust the boost via the actuator as the fueling wont be set correctly..

Only safe wat to adjust boost is with a map...

Thats what mine was running Damien after the map.But my mate said there was a way to get more out of it and he played with the actuator and now it flys its like its been mapped again mate but i have never heard anyone else running 25/26 psi and holding 17 on a ko3s.Thanks jon

when you start messing with actuator rod your asking for trouble , i no that some tuners turn the nut up a few threads when the actuator starts to sag but , if its not done correctly they then you can get problems later , sorry i'm not trying to be negative but i'd take your car to be logged to see if everything is ok mate

I actualy used to run 25/26psi but I used to monitor fueling atc etc so I knew that everything was safe...

My mate said cus of the map i have had i should be ok.Until now i have had no probs but just wondered why i haven't heard of many going down this road

because its not advice i've seen people do that on mk4 golf gti's and it boost great but ran lean as shite not good for your engine at all , eventually will cause problems , with these not advice to increase boost without logging to check if everyhing is ok , i wouldnt be suprised if your car is running lean

No probs seatcupramad23 thats why i am asking mate cus my mate knows a bit about tuning cars but i wanted to see what you lads think .He did turn it up all the way to end of threads and it ran crap but after alot of road testing we kept turning them back and now we are a few threads up and it pulls very strong mate .When i had a map done it felt alot more and now my friend has done this it feels the same difference i felt from standard to the map all over again but just worried cus it seem a easy way to get free power to me and seems to good to be true

if our happy can't say fairer than that really mate , i would just get it logged with vag com just to be safe though

Cheers Seatcupramad23 i will do that bud only joined seat forum tonight cus i wanted to ask you lads.I will make you all cringe when i say its original engine and turbo with 133 k on the clock !
