Lambda or Coolant?

Hello,

I have a Leon 1.6 16v AZD engine, ran the vag-com on the car due to engine light coming on.

2 Faults Found:
17604 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heater Circuit: B1 S1: Electrical Malfunction
P1196 - 35-00 - -
17586 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P1178 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

Also i have had a coolant temperature sensor fault.

When cold engine idles at 800rpm, when hot it falls to 600rpm. Sometimes it revs itself for 10 seconds between 600 and 800rpm.
The temp gauge takes about 10 minutes to reach 90 degrees and also did a weird thing when i was idling in traffic it dropped to 0 and when i moved it then sprung up instanly to 90 degrees again.

Any ideas?

I would imagine you need to get the coolant temp sensor replaced mate for sure. Sounds like common symptoms

Does the coolant temp sensor affect the lambda?

if not judging by the codes that will need replaced too then?

I'm not sure about those log readings mate but I DO know the coolant temp sensor is somehow linked to the lamba sensor, as I had both codes come up at the same time, and replacing the temp sensor sorted it
