How much did you get the rims for?

Im crossed between these and some BK299's with the chrome lip.

The cheapest I could find on a well known auction site was £585 delivered.
Went to Halfords (I know), and they were a fiver cheaper than that and got them the next day where most other suppliers have a 3 week waiting list.

Thats the risk you take - you buy from Halfords, then pull up at a junction soon after (or your local McDonalds if you do that too), next to a chav'ed up Corsa with the SAME wheels! You wont be best pleased! ;)

BK299's it is then :) I want to be a little different. I can get the BK's for £100 a wheel, £620 with tryes, fitted.

Great stuff!

The Parada Spec2's poor wet traction is only half of your problems. The other half (or more) is that they take too long to heat up, and until they do, they don't grip AT ALL. Especially on 18-19" diameter. I had them both on the FR and my Xsara VTS, it was the same. On the other hand, they did last longer than my R1R's will, that's for sure. But the R1R's are on a totally different league.

So £55 a corner for rubber?
What the hell tyres are you putting on there for £55 each?
yokimora ditchfinders or summat?

Toyo summats. TBH I'm not bothered which tyres go on it, they cannot be much better than the ones I have on as standard. Seen as though my car is only 105 BHP. And I dont put my foot down and turn at speed. I do a lot of motorway crusing.

What are the benefits for putting a £100+ tyre on? If I can justify it then i'll consider it.

the difference is when it rains and you hit the brake pedal it will take you longer to stop and the £100 you have saved will be wiped out in you insurance excess, just because a car is low powered doesn't mean you should scrimp on tyres its the only contact between you and the road.

Living with someone else's death on your conscience!!!!!!

At least its NEW Rubber going on - What more could you ask for? :) I wonder how many cars are driving around our UK roads at this time with tyres that have less tread than the legal limit ?? .... or no insurance (which usually also hides something else), or an MOT failure (death trap!), or driving drunk !!?...

^ These examples pose a far greater risk to us in cars/also as pedestrians tbh. ;)

Enjoy your new Rims & Rubber, a pic of the new wheels on your Leon would be nice to see? ;)
I'd also consider the chrome lip, especially on a Black car, adds a nice contrast.
