Hi guys,

I was just browsing through the manual, it says that launch control is only available in the 6 speed DSG, has anyone tried that out?

Yes on my MK 2, think the 7 speed is dry clutch so is lower rated for Torque, I read somewhere anyway.

The 7 speed box is great but is a little delicate when it comes to torque. If you want a fast start with the 7 speed just floor it. My Bocanegra (1.4tsi 210BHP DSG) was faster than my manual Cupra 265 to 60 by quite a bit.

Well I don't get to say 'Let me engage the launch control' then, always wanted to do that :)

P.S. Read the quoted in Jeremy Clarkson's voice.

I was at GTi international a few years back and I was getting decent times (stripped out) and was nursing it off the line. It was only when I booted it with no thought did I set my best time of the day which was a 5.1. You don't need to faf about engaging launch control. Just go into lout mode
