Good evening. I need help please: Vehicle Seat Leon 5F MJ17, facelift, 1.4Tsi manual transmission...

The speed limiter is to be retrofitted. Only the GRA is available as standard.

NO ACC!!!

Important information: The vehicle has been converted to VC. See details later... Additionally, a conversion to KL steering wheel because of the steering wheel heating. See details later.

I have activated byte 6 bit 2 in the engine control unit. In the AI control unit, under the settings, I have activated the setting "Display longitudinal control coordinator" for which GRA is active, the speed limiter item.

Now I would like to activate the new speed limiter item via the MFL and the assistant item in the VC. I can scroll there and confirm, but it is not activated. Has anyone ever managed to do this successfully without a steering column switch with a limiter button?

"is not activated" i.e. does not want to switch to it from cruise control? The speed limiter must be activated while driving with the button on the side, just like cruise control - so that it knows what speed it should not exceed - you have to drive and only then set the speed

I have everything on the steering wheel. But it makes sense. I think it is a mistake on my part

I think that the gateway is too old for it to work via the VC to activate the speed limiter. My gut feeling

MQB cruise control is a SWaaP item so Speed Limiter may also be a SWaaP item. Have you checked for an official retrofit solution with SVM code?

the limiter is not a SwaP. the problem is probably my gateway. I will do the update today and gain new knowledge.

The limiter always works if the rest of the hardware is correct. In my case, the KL steering wheel is an unfortunate situation because the hardware for the limiter is not available. And the virtual cockpit can take over, the gateway is probably too old.

I updated the gateway today, changed the index from C to AC, adjusted the coding, etc. Everything is working again, but I still can't activate the limiter via the VC. I even checked whether the accelerator pedal can only control the cruise control, but the pedal can either do nothing or everything. I have installed one that can do everything, of course, thanks to the cruise control.

Because of the stupid limiter, I'm about to buy a steering column switch unit that has Mode or Lim as HW switches.

I don't have a mode/lim button and the speed limiter works. The button only takes you to the assistants menu or switches between cruise control and speed limiter and that's it

I think the problem here will be the steering wheel itself or its coding. with the standard cruise control switch in the lever the speed limiter works - the mode/lim button is not needed - it's just a shortcut to the settings

I haven't coded the limiter in STG 16 since the gateway update. Try that again.

Good morning. Yesterday we came to the conclusion that this generation really needs the HW button. But now that I've driven the Leon KL steering wheel, I don't want to go back to a steering column switch with GRA. But I already have an idea.
