Owdo,:help:

Just got myself a 53 LCR and I really love it but I have noticed a hefty dip in power after every gear change, it only lasts about 1-2sec but its a real pain in the doodar.

Just wondered if this is normal on LCR's or is it something more sinister.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.;)

This is one of the hardest thing i've done today, but i'm going to answer sensibly.

"Just wondered if this is normal on LCR's or is it something more sinister" - Yes this is normal.

You release the power (diverter valve opens boost drops) you change gear / you readd power / turbo spools / (0.5-2 seconds later) = POWER

Cheers MC -No, this is the first turbo I've had so Im breaking myself in gently, thanks for the advice.

Wackojacko - Thanks for the info, nice & easy to followfor a newbie like me. Just out of interest do you think a decent Dump Valve (i.e. Forge) would make any difference.

Once again, cheers for the help guys.

get yourself a forge 007p. its a direct replacement for the standard bosch plastic thing and i noticed a difference in throttle response. plus when you get your car re-mapped the original DV is likely to split under the increased boost
