Lcr Remapping and Figures

Ive bought a Leon cupra r and looking to get it remapped

I got in contact with R - Tech as over on the mk4 they seem to be one of the best for tuning 1.8t not sure if this is the case for the lcr ?

They quoted between 240bhp -270bhp from a stage 1 custom map

So to hit the higher end of the figures I'm guessing I need the following mods :

Induction kit and cold air feed
Badger 5 3" tip
Full service
Good fuel

Is There anything else ive missed that can help me the higher end figures ?

Or any recommendations for a a good 1.8t tunner in or around yorkshire would be appreciated of course im willing to travel for the best ;)

Even with those mods you ain't hitting 270

Best things you can do is 3" TIP and decent filter with heat shield.

Make sure your leak free. Exhaust with downpipe sports/decat then u may as well stick on a front mount and go straight stage 2
 
I cannot seem to find a heat shield on its own any where :( so would you say 250bhp is more reasonable
 
Just get the r tech filter when you are there it's what i use they really work well the faster you go the colder the intake the more g/s i read

Surely not much flow around the sides of the filter in these heat shields? Prefer my jabba, but people have custom copied the jabba, if you can you should, they're well overpriced now.

But that in the pic looks like it'll hold back some mass air flow from the filter IMO. Does it have a floor to it either?!
 
No floor to it, Doesn't seem to affect the MAF, Car deffinately runs better with this over the standard set-up, I recently fitted the old air box to try and solve a few issues and the car deffiantely felt less responsive.

If you can I would mock up a floor/base to it to prevent the heat coming from the block getting to the underside of the filter. Ok, it's all red hot at the turbo but colder in (denser) = better :p

Should do, the filter will suck the mass air running up that passenger side the more you get it to the wing rather than some of that air passing up past the filter towards the bulkhead, this is how I see it anyway :p Run a flexi ducting neoprene cold air feed up to it too from around the fog light area, even better if you don't run fogs, just run it from where it used to be. This is where mine sits.

Not the best pic of mine, but there's space between the filter and the shield on both sides for air to freely flow around in there.. Tinkering won't give massive gains but every little helps I've found.
