Seat LCR 2004

Please can someone help me.
I have a LCR 2004 which I spun the big end shells. So got another engine for it. May I add just the block and internals..
rebuilt the engine while in the kitchen. Good job it’s just me and the pup. Anyway. Got it all refitted in the car..
piped in and wired up.
had it on vagcom, cleared all the codes ie due to engine being out out..
car won’t start at all. Turns over sounds like it wants to. But no success.
checked fuel pump. New fuel filter.
I have spend a fortune on this and have went to far to stop now.
anyone any ideas what I cld check.

No not yet.. totally stuck. Had vagcom on it again. No fault codes.
had the injectors ultra sonic cleaned.

1. Have you checked at a spark plug if you have a spark? That will confirm ecu/ immobiliser is ok and trying to start it. If you don't have a spark, then have you got the instrument cluster plugged in, checked the crank sensor is ok, and that all fuses are good?

2. When you have a spark then check fuel pressure at the rail if you have a gauge.

3. If you have fuel and spark, then i'd double check your timing and compression test it. If you have all 4 of those things, then it should start.

If It trys to run and stops, It can be related to faulty maf sensor, unplug it to see If that helps
