(i know theres an Engine section... but anyway..).

Which one?!

I like the sound of the REVO as its just a reflash and theres a dealer near me (Preston)...also the SPS would be a good idea (probably just SPS1).

Are any of the others a reflash and are any located in the North West of England? Any SPS type of controllers available for the others?
Are any of the others thought of as a better choice than REVO power/torque wise? (not that i'll be going stupid with the car...remap, zorst and filter would be the limit).

Anything else i should be thinking about?!

editted post because of a severely biased opinion

Revo ... but then I would say that as I have it on my LCR ... fantastic :)

Our Revo review :D

haha yea the review is what made me think what else is there available and how does it all compare. On the face of it REVO seems best (for me) but i dont really know what the others have to offer.

None of the above! Ditched the Vtune for something more personal, still got it kicking round on a chip somewhere ;)

Have worked with all in some way, can you think of anyone else in the UK who knows more about the 1.8T engine than Jabba?

Maybe my opinion has upset a sponsor or two, is that the issue?

Yes Vern, Sales outside the tuning industry pays proper money ;)

i have APR DPP mate, and cc etc :)
TBH only heard good things about jabba too, horses for courses,i.e if jabba did serial they would need to work 24 hrs a day lol

vern

They do do serial now I thought?
Maybe not switchable but sure they're serial programming

I'm talking about Jabba, Geoff's only selling his through West tuning now after 'falling out' with another company.
Jabba use the Dimsport tool, other serial programming is widely available now, EVC have been selling it for a while also

ahh yes dimsport, pesky italians make everything now,inc most combi boilers  lol

lol for those others that don't know guess we should point out there are two companies in the world that make 90% of the tools that ECU tuners use, check out www.evc.de and www.dimsport.it

IIRC, the thoughts from the Stealth RR day were that Jabba & Revo gave the highest bhp maps, Revo having the highest torque peak (and that's all it is), compared to the smooth Jabba curve...

...Jabba is a re-chip, but is then a fully customised map, and you can fit a boost controller to it... I've heard over on Briskoda (who seem to favour Jabba) that the serial port mapping Jabba do is still custom mapping... maybe worth a call?

Also, Jabba is cheaper than Revo...

...Why haven't I mentioned AMD & APR?? Because I don't know enough about them to comment!! :hide:

Jabba don't advertise as much as alot of the other companies, probably because of the popularity of their big turbo kit, like I say they really know their stuff

lol no I only worked for two, there's quite a few others out there!
tbh it's not a very well paid industry as I'm sure some of you know!
I don't work in the industry anymore, although I think some people and companies like to spread rumours ;)
