Nice lol I have loads of flywheels in my garage and clutches lol , I went for the best one I could find that took big power as I plan to go BT soon , the helix is rated to 450 bhp , if the clutch goes I will go for a paddle one , whole kit came to 952quid plus fitting

now that is alot :) no wonder it revs up quicker hehe... One more ques.. Familiar with clutch dragging? When i changed the flywheel, pressure plate and clutch i also changed hydraulic fluid and release bearing. Then boom i started to have clutch dragging. So i changed also the Master of the clutch, bled it (lost count of number of times) and still had the same problem... sometimes (especially when pressing the pedal often due to parking or driving in small spaces) the gears (mainly first and reverse) remain stuck and with the clutch pedal fully depressed the car still moves O_O. I'm starting to believe that i got a faulty release bearing :(

To be honest i used the one supplied from SPEC... As for Bleeding i tried the normal way and even with forced air.. but no air pockets were present and i did this for at least half a dozen times :/ now i ordered an original slave cylinder / release bearing hoping it will solve the problem.. Issue is i have to remove the whole gearbox again :(

Was the one supplied by SPEC an OEM one?

When I did my Helix SMF they supplied a new VAG slave cylinder/release bearing as part of the kit.

@ csd_19 Have no idea if it's an OEM to be honest, But still i have no way out except to remove the gearbox and change it... i'm running out of options!

:( I know it's a pain to have to change that again. No fluid leaks anywhere on the hydraulic line from the master?

Thanks for that :) at least i know what it is and hopefully it doesn't look like it could be the problem! I just came from the garage and to my surprise i found a gromet (quite a large one) stuck under the levers for gear change.. i'm really hoping that was the problem however cannot confirm before Sunday as i'm a bit tight :( Will let you know how it works out!!!!
