Hi,
I've not driven my Cupra R for a while as I now have a company car. I went to take it out today to show it some love and I couldn't get it started. I think it's simply a dead battery as when I went to unlock using the fob nothing happened, so I had to use the key in the door. When I put the key in the ignition I get dash lights but I didn't hear the fuel pump go at all. I also get the interior light when I open the door. Turning the key to the starting position does nothing. I hooked it up to my company using jump leads but this made no difference. On turning the key the display on the dash does all weird and the clock resets.
Am I being a spaz with the jump leads or could there potentially be something else wrong?
Next step is to get the battery out and borrow a mains charger.
Cheers.
