Just had the low coolant warning this morning and had seat assist out who diagnosed a leaky radiator.
Cars just out of warranty a month ago but has FSH.
Any idea what this is likely gonna cost ?, the cars been recovered to seat dealer.

The dealer should be able to give you an exact price for the work - they will have the book labour time for replacing the rad, plus cost of parts immediately to hand.

Where's it leaking from?
I've had an Audi A3 and Golf MK6 which both leaked from bottom corner - common problem on these cars, think Audi was £300+ to replace at main dealers (quite a few years ago)

Its the bottom right hand side if looking into the bay, the seat guy said it was on the front but he couldn't actually get it to leak so maybe it only leaks when warm but he could see the coolant had leaked on that side of the tray at the bottom

Just ran out of warranty last month :( so about £300 and another £100 just for diagnosis, here's hoping to some good will

Do you have a Northern Radiators or similar place nearby as they can refurb damaged radiators to better than new for cheaper than buying a new rad?

The coolant usually leaks when hot/ under pressure unless it's a hole where it would drip constant - 1 of mine was on the join where the bottom pipe attaches onto the radiator and the other on a seam - poorly made and i'd have thought VAG would have sorted it by now

I've used radweld many moons ago to good affect. Not sure how it fairs with modern radiators but can't see radiator tech changing much in 10 years. Might be worth a shot if seat don't offer goodwill.

So update on this, dealer rang and said they couldn't find a leak, even after filling and letting it run for ages so they best they can do is top it up and see if it happens again.
They said even though seat assist jacked it up they had it on a actual ramp so they could be more thorough checking it.
Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on it over the next few days and see if it drops again

In the meantime Seat gave me a brand new Audi A3 1.6 TDI sline Stronic to drive about in, came with full led lights front and back along with the sweeping indicators.
My thoughts on it
The interior felt much more quality compared to the FR and its didn't half shift in dynamic mode, tech wise had mmi plus which although felt more up to date than the seat was less user friendly and I missed the touch screen, although sadly this didn't come with the virtual cockpit.
Couple of negatives, the car didn't feel as planted as the FR and I'd say standard suspension and ride on the FR feels a lot better.
Fuel tank was showing 435 miles range on a full tank which seems quite small.
The air vents reflect onto the side mirrors which is distracting and annoying.
The window switches were quite far back into the arm rests so you had to reach back to open a window, the FR has them in a much more natural position.

If I'd have to choose between a new A3 or a new Leon I'd have to go with the Leon, both good cars but think the Leon just edges it.

They did they pressure test as did the seat assist guy, they said as mentioned here sometimes the leak only occurs when the engine is warm then cool as the coolant expands then leaks out, I'll pick it up tomorrow and keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

Edit: it was you that's said it Robby lol
