I have got a 2001 cupra with the electric black leather seat in ans the car has covered 56,000 miles.

The problem i have got is that the leather is not wearing very well at all on the bolsters on the back rest of the seat the best way of putting it is that the top surface of the leather is rubbinh off and it does not look good at all!! The seats were fitted from factory if that helps!!

Is anyone else having the same problem or do you know what mite be causing it??

Cheers

Where are you based?

We have a leather god (ooo err) that works with us, he has been making Custom Interiors for 8 years and could probably give you some pointers/fix the problem for you...

i will try get a couple of pics up tomorrow or sat and show you all what i mean!

It is annoying though cos i use leather feed on them 2 or 3 times in the year i ihave had the car so it is nothing to do with the fact they have dryed out!
cant understand it

Bit far from us then, get some pics up and i will show him and see what he says

May just be poor leather or something thats got on them? Th eold cupra Leathers was ok i thought (quality wise) it wa sthe newer r32's that had cheap thin cr4p leather

Scary thing is, the guy @ Work can tell how good a leather is by smelling it!!
